Alaska residents are receiving a $1,702 stimulus payment in 2025, a major financial boost that comes from the 2023 Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD). This payment is not only helping families in Alaska, but it is also strengthening the state economy by encouraging more spending and investment.
This year’s amount is 30% higher than the previous year and is made up of two parts:
- $298.17 – One-time energy assistance payment

What Is the Alaska Permanent Fund?
The Alaska Permanent Fund was created in 1976 to manage the state’s oil revenue and ensure that all residents benefit directly from the state’s natural resources.
Every year, the Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation distributes a portion of the earnings to eligible residents in the form of the Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD).
