A father in Kentucky took drastic action after allegedly finding a naked man in his 13-year-old daughter’s room. The father reportedly grabbed a handgun and fired shots after encountering the suspect, leading to the arrest of 20-year-old Parker Kramer.
The Incident and the Father’s Response
The shocking incident occurred in Florence, Kentucky, in the early hours of April 28. The Boone County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call from the father, who discovered the unknown man in his daughter’s room.
According to the sheriff’s office, the father woke up in the middle of the night after hearing noises coming from his daughter’s room.
The father then entered the room and allegedly found Kramer naked on the floor. After telling the suspect he would call the police, the father went downstairs, retrieved his handgun, and confronted Kramer. The suspect then allegedly pushed past the father and fled the house.
Father Fires Gun, Suspect Flees
The father reportedly fired three shots into the ground near the front porch of the residence. The suspect fled the scene before deputies arrived, but the search began immediately.
Police Search and Suspect’s Capture
After searching the area with no success, deputies were able to locate the suspect’s vehicle and show a photo of the car’s owner to the father. The father identified the suspect as the same man he had found in his daughter’s room.
A drone was eventually used to track down Parker Kramer, leading to his arrest. Authorities said that Kramer confessed to driving 90 miles from Louisville to meet the minor girl that night.
Additional Charges Against Kramer
The age of consent in Kentucky is 16, but it has not been confirmed whether Kramer knew the girl was underage. After being taken into custody, Kramer allegedly made admissions which led to additional charges.
He now faces two counts of rape and one count of sodomy, along with the burglary charge he was initially arrested for.
Kramer is being held in Boone County Jail with a $250,000 cash bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 5, 2025.
