Cumulus Media’s Red Dirt 94.9 The Outlaw, KOLI in Wichita Falls, TX, was scheduled to go dark tonight at midnight. However, it appears that it has been delayed, at least temporarily.
James Cook, PD and morning host, posted on the station’s Facebook page, “FIRST…” Congratulations to our listeners for making their voices heard. We’ll be around for a few more weeks so you can enjoy the music from Texas and Oklahoma.”
However, Cook’s morning show will not continue.
“Today, we say goodbye to The Way Too Early Show. The wonderful scene and the people involved have changed my life forever. I haven’t been able to open the mic once because I’ve been crying all morning, but I have played many goodbyes from our fans. I’ve been fortunate to have the opportunity to wake you up with some of the best music available. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
