$967 and $1,450 in Social Security Payments for July Will Arrive in 19 Days

If you or someone in your family receives Supplemental Security Income (SSI), it’s important to know when to expect payments. The Social Security Administration (SSA) has shared the full schedule for SSI payments from July to December 2025. Here’s everything you need to know in simple words.

How Much Will You Get?

For 2025, the basic SSI payment is $943 per month for individuals and $1,415 for couples. However, this amount can be higher if your state offers extra help, known as a state supplement.

Keep in mind, these are the maximum limits. Your actual amount may be less if you get other income, like retirement benefits.

When Will You Get Paid?

SSI payments usually arrive on the first business day of each month. If the first falls on a weekend, the payment is made earlier, on the last Friday of the previous month. This helps avoid delays.

Here’s the payment schedule for the second half of 2025:

July 2025

  • Payment Date: Tuesday, July 1
  • No changes this month. You will get your payment on time.

August 2025

  • Payment Date: Friday, August 1
  • Again, a regular payment with no date change.

September 2025

  • Payment Date: Monday, September 1
  • Since September 1 is a weekday, the payment will go out as usual.

October 2025

  • Payment Date: Wednesday, October 1
  • Advance Payment: Friday, October 31 (for November)
  • November 1 is a Saturday, so the November payment will be sent early on October 31.

November 2025

  • No new payment
  • Because you get your November amount early (on October 31), there will be no new deposit in November.

December 2025

  • Payment Date: Monday, December 1
  • Everything goes back to normal.

Other Important Payment Info

Almost 99% of SSI beneficiaries get their payments through direct deposit. This is the fastest and safest way to receive your money. If you’re still getting paper checks, know that since 2013, new applicants must use direct deposit or a special Direct Express debit card.

This system helps stop fraud and makes it easier for SSA to pay over 70 million people every month.

What If You Have Questions?

You can visit the SSA website at ssa.gov or call their help line at 1-800-772-1213. They have support in both English and Spanish, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. (local time). You don’t need an appointment for basic questions.

Social Security Retirement and Disability Payments in July

People who receive retirement or disability benefits will get their payments on different dates based on their birthdates. Here’s the July 2025 schedule:

  • People born from the 1st to 10th: Wednesday, July 9
  • People born from the 11th to 20th: Wednesday, July 16
  • People born from the 21st to 31st: Wednesday, July 23

If you started getting benefits before May 1997, you’ll get paid on Thursday, July 3.

Remember, electronic payments can take up to three working days to show up in your account. If there’s a delay, check your “my Social Security” account or call the SSA.
