'She Got Them Crazy Eyes!' Cellphone Footage Shows Uber Driver Drawing Gun on Miami Woman During Ride. Rider Now Intends to Sue Rideshare Company

A Miami woman says she feared for her life when an Uber driver allegedly pulled a gun on her during a late-night ride, and now she plans to take legal action. The incident, which was partially captured on video and shared on social media, has prompted Uber to remove the driver from the platform and launch an internal investigation.

What Happened?

Krissy Celess, a rising Miami rapper known by her stage name Bomb Ass Krissy, told WSVN News that she and a friend had ordered an Uber on Monday night from North Miami to Hollywood, Florida. Near the end of the trip, Celess said she tried to give the driver directions.

“I said, ‘Hey, the turn is right here. You’re going to make a left,’” Celess recalled. “And she [the driver] was like, ‘Oh, you don’t have to tell me.’ It just escalated so quickly.”

Heated Argument Captured on Video

Celess recorded the exchange and posted the video on Instagram, showing the Uber driver on the phone with 911 and repeatedly yelling at her to get out of the vehicle. The driver, a woman, can be heard saying:

“You’re harassing me. Get out of my vehicle now! You’re no longer in the ride.”

Celess responded in the video, “She got them crazy eyes,” before the confrontation took a terrifying turn.

The driver then pulled out a gun and pointed it at Celess.

No Injuries Reported, Police Investigating

Thankfully, no one was physically harmed during the incident. Celess said she also called 911, and Hollywood Police are currently investigating the case.

Her attorney, Carlos Dominguez, called the driver’s actions “extremely excessive” and confirmed they plan to sue Uber.

“You know, emotions can sometimes spur out of control because of a simple disagreement, but those disagreements do not necessitate a firearm to be pointed at you,” Dominguez told reporters.

Uber Responds and Bans the Driver

In a statement, Uber called the incident “extremely concerning” and confirmed that the driver has been removed from the app.

“We removed the driver’s access to the app and are continuing to investigate,” Uber said in a statement to WSVN.

Uber has a strict policy against drivers carrying firearms while using the platform. If verified, the driver could face not only civil liability but also criminal charges, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

“Justice Needs to Be Served”

Celess, visibly shaken in interviews, said the experience left her deeply traumatized.

“I don’t want anything like that to happen to anybody else,” she said. “Oh my God, I’m shaking right now.”

Her attorney emphasized that the case is about passenger safety, adding that a firearm should never be part of a rideshare dispute.
