North Carolina Mother Attacks Principal and Superintendent After Being Called to School to Talk About Her Daughter's Fighting

In a shocking incident at Randolph Middle School in Charlotte, North Carolina, a mother is accused of physically attacking both the principal and assistant superintendent during a meeting concerning her daughter’s involvement in a school fight. The altercation reportedly escalated to the point where the mother allegedly choked one of the administrators.

The Incident

Mariah Hector, 33, was arrested and charged with assaulting a school employee and second-degree trespassing. According to an affidavit from the police, the event unfolded on May 5, 2025, after Hector was called to the school to discuss her daughter’s involvement in a physical altercation with another student.

While at the school, Hector became reportedly hostile and was asked by school staff to leave. Rather than comply, Hector allegedly pushed past the employee and shoved the principal, Jennifer Schroeder, into a wall.

The situation escalated further when Hector allegedly grabbed Assistant Superintendent Jennifer Dean by the neck, attempting to choke her with both hands. Police noted that Dean did not lose consciousness but experienced difficulty breathing and had visible injuries around her neck.

School Lockdown and Arrests

The violent confrontation led the school to be placed on lockdown, and Hector was promptly taken into custody by the police. Another individual, 20-year-old Trinity Nixon, was also arrested and charged with second-degree trespassing.

According to the arrest affidavit, Nixon had entered the school despite being told not to by school staff and was accused of cursing and yelling once inside the building.

Principal Suspended After Incident

In the aftermath of the assault, Principal Jennifer Schroeder was placed on paid suspension just two weeks after the incident. While the details surrounding her suspension remain unclear, the school district confirmed that she would be away from campus for an undisclosed period.

In a message sent to families, the district stated, “We cannot provide information on the reason for the principal’s absence as this is a personnel issue.”

Community Reaction

The incident has shocked the local community, with many expressing concern over the violence that occurred on school grounds. Mariah Hector’s arrest highlights growing tensions between parents and school officials, particularly in cases involving disciplinary actions against students.
