Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) provides financial assistance to individuals who have met specific work and medical requirements but are unable to continue working due to a disability.
SSDI payments are distributed throughout the month based on the recipient’s date of birth. Here’s everything you need to know about the SSDI payment schedule for June 2025.
How SSDI Payments Are Scheduled
SSDI payments are made according to a fixed schedule, which is determined by the recipient’s birthdate. Beneficiaries who began receiving SSDI benefits after May 1997 will receive their payment on specific days of the month. Here’s a breakdown of the payment schedule for June 2025:
June 11th: If your birthday falls between the 1st and 10th of the month, you will receive your SSDI payment on this date. This is the first group in the monthly distribution.
June 18th: Those born between the 11th and the 20th of the month will receive their payment on this date, marking the second wave of SSDI distributions.
June 25th: If your birthday is between the 21st and the 31st, you will get your SSDI payment on the final scheduled day of the month.
The payments are made exclusively based on your birthdate, and the schedule is fixed for each group.
Exceptions for Beneficiaries Who Applied Before May 1997
There are some important exceptions to the SSDI payment schedule. If you began receiving benefits before May 1997, your payment will be issued on a single, fixed date. In June 2025, this payment was made on Tuesday, June 3rd.
SSDI and SSI Combined Payments:
Individuals who receive both SSDI and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) also follow this exception and received their payment on June 3rd.
While SSI payments are generally issued on the first day of each month, they follow their own schedule and are made earlier if the first day falls on a holiday or weekend. In June 2025, SSI payments were made early on May 30th, due to the weekend.
SSDI Benefit Amounts in June 2025
The amount of SSDI you receive depends on your work history and earnings, with the maximum possible benefit for June 2025 being $4,018. This is the highest amount a beneficiary can receive, but it’s only available to those who have a long history of high wages and work credits.
