An Indiana couple faces charges of public indecency after allegedly groping each other during a children’s dance recital at Lake Central High School in St. John, Indiana.
The incident took place in the school’s auditorium, where families and children gathered to enjoy the afternoon performance, as reported by the Chicago Tribune.
Inappropriate Behavior During the Performance
Around 4:30 p.m., event security was alerted to inappropriate behavior in the balcony section of the auditorium. Multiple attendees, including young children, witnessed the couple, later identified as Steven M. Ulman and Carly Ann Dominski, engaging in inappropriate actions.
According to court records, security officers observed the couple with their hands down each other’s unbuttoned pants during the performance. Although no genitalia were exposed, the act was visible to several nearby families.
Interruption and Arrests
Upon noticing security approaching, the couple quickly buttoned their pants and attempted to leave the theater. However, they were intercepted by police officers in their SUV outside the venue. Ulman cooperated with law enforcement and provided his ID.
Dominski, on the other hand, initially gave a false name. After searching her purse, officers identified her true identity and discovered that she had active warrants, including charges for false informing and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Charges and Legal Proceedings
Ulman was charged with public indecency and is scheduled to appear in court on July 8. Dominski faces charges of public indecency and false reporting.
The Lake Central School District has not issued a formal statement regarding the incident but is reportedly reviewing event security measures to prevent similar situations in the future.
