North Texas Heat Alert Highs in the 90s, Breezy Conditions and Isolated Storms Into Friday

Fort Worth, Texas – North and Central Texas are in for another stretch of hot and humid weather this week, with temperatures expected to climb into the mid-90s and heat indices potentially reaching 103°F. Strong south winds will further intensify the conditions, making outdoor activities more challenging.

Hot and Humid Weather Continues

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, Sunday marks the start of several days of hot, breezy, and humid conditions. High temperatures for today will reach 94°F in Fort Worth and Dallas, 93°F in Waco and Killeen, and 91–92°F across much of the region. South winds will range from 10 to 20 mph, with gusts reaching up to 25–30 mph.

Isolated Storms and Heat Risks

Isolated thunderstorms are expected daily, especially in the far southern parts of the region, including areas like Palestine and Hearne. These storms may cause brief disruptions, particularly in East Central Texas, during the late afternoon and early evening hours.

Outdoor workers and those attending events are urged to take precautions to avoid heat-related illnesses. Stay hydrated, limit afternoon exposure, and secure lightweight objects that may be blown away by the gusty winds.

Extended Forecast: Hot and Breezy Conditions Persist

The hot pattern is expected to continue through Friday, with no significant cool-down in sight. Additional heat advisories could be issued if heat index values climb further.
