The Last SSDI Payment for June Will Be Sent Out in Less Than 48 Hours

If you are getting Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and haven’t received your June 2025 payment yet, don’t worry—it’s on the way. Millions of people are scheduled to get their payment this week, as part of the Social Security Administration’s (SSA) monthly schedule.

The final SSDI payment for June will be made on the fourth Wednesday of the month, which is June 25, 2025. This applies to most current SSDI beneficiaries, especially those who started receiving benefits after May 1997.

How SSDI Payments Are Scheduled

SSDI payments are given to people who cannot do regular paid work because of a serious disability. The SSA uses your birth date to decide when you will receive your monthly payment.

There are three main groups:

People born between the 1st and 10th of any month: Paid on the second Wednesday

People born between the 11th and 20th: Paid on the third Wednesday

People born between the 21st and 31st: Paid on the fourth Wednesday

SSDI June 2025 Payment Dates

Here’s the breakdown of payment dates for June:

June 11: For people born from 1st to 10th

June 18: For those born from 11th to 20th

June 25: For people born from 21st to 31st

If you started receiving SSDI before May 1997, your payment was sent on June 3. This group follows a different rule and always gets paid early in the month.

Maximum SSDI Payment in 2025

The highest SSDI payment in 2025 is $4,018 per month. This is only for people who have:

Earned the maximum taxable income for most of their careers

Worked and paid Social Security taxes for at least 35 years

Earned at least 40 work credits, with 20 of them in the last 10 years before becoming disabled

For 2025, the maximum taxable income used to calculate SSDI is $176,100. If you consistently earned close to this limit, you may qualify for the top benefit.

What To Do If You Haven’t Received Your SSDI Payment

Sometimes, delays can happen. If your SSDI money hasn’t arrived by the expected date, here’s what you should do:

Wait at least three business days after the payment date. There might be delays at your bank or postal service (for those who get paper checks).

If you still haven’t received the money, call the SSA at 1-800-772-1213. The line is open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. (local time).

If you’re hearing impaired, call TTY 1-800-325-0778.

Keep your Social Security number ready when you call, as they will ask for it to verify your identity.
