Imagine reaching for a simple snack and discovering a hidden treasure instead. That’s exactly what happened when a rare Cheeto, shaped like the beloved Pokémon character Charizard, went up for auction. This quirky piece of snack art ended up selling for a staggering $87,840!

The Cheeto That Became a Collector’s Item

Goldin Auctions, a well-known collectibles auction house, listed this one-of-a-kind Cheeto, which fans on TikTok had affectionately nicknamed “Cheetozard.” The auction description detailed that it was a 3-inch-long Flamin’ Hot Cheeto, securely attached to a custom Pokémon card and preserved in a transparent storage case.

According to the listing, this unique snack was originally found and saved between 2018 and 2022 by a collectibles company called 1st & Goal Collectibles. It gained massive popularity in late 2024 when social media users discovered its uncanny resemblance to Charizard.

Fierce Bidding War for the Cheetozard

When Goldin Auctions put the Cheeto up for sale, collectors and Pokémon fans rushed to bid. According to AP News, more than 60 serious bidders participated, pushing the final price to an unbelievable $87,840.

The irony? Charizard is a dragon-like Pokémon known for breathing fire, and this wasn’t just any Cheeto—it was a Flamin’ Hot Cheeto!
