The next day on the calendar for disability benefit payments in the United States is closer than it appears. If you are the sole recipient of this type of benefit and want to know if you will receive a check within the next few hours, you only need to determine whether you are eligible for the payment.
To be part of the group that receives this payment, you only need to meet two requirements. It is simple to meet them; however, if you do not meet them initially, you will not be eligible for this new disability payment because your Social Security group will be different.
One of the requirements is to have been receiving the benefit since after May 1997, while another is to have your birthday on specific days. Each group of retirees, whether for disability or another Social Security group, has its own requirements and knowing them is very important for all of them.
How to get the next Disability Payment?
As previously stated, there are two requirements for receiving this new Social Security disability payment. However, if we do not meet both requirements, it will not affect the collection of the monthly check because there are more payments during the month and more retirement groups.
In any case, for the new payment, which the Administration will send on March 12th, we must meet the following requirements:
- Have the check accepted since after May 1997.
- Your birthday must fall between the 1st and 10th of any given month.
The year of your birth does not matter, nor does the month. The only thing that matters in this case is the day on which you were born, so as long as your birthday falls within the first ten days of any given month, you are part of the group.
How to quickly receive payment for disability?
Another factor to consider when organizing our finances through Social Security Disability payments is that beneficiaries can select their preferred collection method in order to receive their Social Security benefit as quickly as possible.
Direct Deposit recipients receive their payments on the same day that the Administration sends them. If we do not do this, the payment will arrive about three days later than when it was sent. Every retiree will receive their benefit, regardless of the group to which they belong or the method of collection used.
