Blake Shelton Finally Reacts to Justin Moore's Drinking Story

Country music fans love a good story, and Blake Shelton just set the record straight on Justin Moore’s claim that he was wrongly accused of getting sick on a flight. The two stars have been going back and forth about this drinking tale, and now, Shelton has a witness to back him up.

While their friendly debate continues, Shelton also made a big announcement: His new album, For Recreational Use Only, is dropping on May 9!

The Story Behind the Flight Incident

The drinking saga started last fall when Justin Moore told Taste of Country that Blake Shelton falsely accused him of not handling his alcohol on a flight from California to Arkansas.

Now, Shelton has spoken up, and according to him, there’s proof that Moore did, in fact, throw up on the plane. Here’s how it all went down:

  1. In 2014, after Justin Moore performed on The Voice, Shelton invited him to fly home on a private jet.
  2. The plane belonged to NASCAR driver Elliott Sadler, though Shelton often leased it.
  3. Their first stop was Oklahoma, where Shelton got off, while Moore continued to Arkansas.
  4. They both drank heavily on the flight, but Moore couldn’t keep up.
  5. Moore passed out, and Shelton left him to travel the rest of the way.
  6. Later, Shelton heard from the pilot that Moore threw up in the bathroom before landing in Arkansas.

What Justin Moore Says

Moore strongly denies the accusation. He admits that he might have been outmatched in drinking, but he insists he did not throw up.

“Hell, he’s like 7-foot, 12 inches, or something, you know, and I’m not,” Moore joked, referring to Shelton’s height advantage.

What Blake Shelton Says

Shelton, however, is sticking to his version of the story. He claims the pilot personally confirmed that Moore went to the bathroom and threw up before landing.

“The pilot said, ‘Hey, man, you know your buddy Justin Moore? He went back there in the bathroom, and he threw up.'”

Though Shelton was initially horrified, the pilot assured him that Moore didn’t make a mess, but the smell was unmistakable.

Their Friendship & Music Collaboration

Despite the funny disagreement, Shelton and Moore remain good friends. In fact, the two have a new song together called “Beer Ain’t One”, featured on Moore’s latest album, This Is My Dirt.

Fans can expect more great music from Shelton as well, with his upcoming album For Recreational Use Only releasing on May 9.
