Kane Brown’s 2025 The High Road Tour began Thursday (March 13) at Pechanga Arena in San Diego, Calif., with a bang. It was Night One of a seven-month tour that will keep him busy until October 10.
The country singer surprised fans when he “appeared out of nowhere” with his opening song, “I Am.” The lights went out during the band’s extended intro to the song. When they turned back on, Brown was illuminated by four spotlights in the center of the audience.

The “Backseat Driver” singer opened the show with three hard-hitting songs: “Start a Fire,” “I Can Feel It,” and “Fiddle in the Band.”
Later in the show, he toned things down to serenade the audience with heartfelt songs like “Homesick,” “Worship You,” and “For My Daughter.” One fan posted a video of Brown performing “Heaven,” accompanied by a piano and a chorus of crowd members singing along.
Kane Brown Had the Flu Right Before Kicking Off The High Road Tour
Despite having recently recovered from the flu, the country hitmaker sounded great on stage. His wife Katelyn revealed on social media that the bug had infested their entire home, but because Brown caught it first, he was able to recover in time for opening night.
Meanwhile, the rest of the family, including their children Kingsley, Kodi, and Krewe, are still recuperating in Tennessee. Unfortunately, Katelyn was unable to appear on stage and perform duets such as “Thank God” and “Body Talk” with her husband.
