The Wichita Falls Farmers Market's Themed Market Makes Them Feel Fortunate

WICHITA FALLS — The Wichita Falls Farmers Market’s Lucky Market event on Saturday morning had a positive vibe!

The theme was all about Saint Patrick’s Day, so many vendors sold Saint Patrick’s Day-related items such as leprechaun clover pretzels, green leprechaun cookies, and even green bread!

In addition to the food vendors, there was a kids club where children could color shamrocks, go on a coin hunt, get face painted, and meet Archi, a baby goat from RawRoots Farm.

Gabriele Poenitzsch, Market Manager for the Wichita Falls Farmers Market, believes that themed events are beneficial because they keep people interested in attending.

“These events differ from our Saturday market in terms of theme. When we go big and beyond, we invite outside nonprofits to collaborate with us. We invite local chefs to collaborate with us,” Poenitzsch says, “and our market supports both artisans and farmers. We love seeing our customers come out.

We love seeing it packed in here because it shows that the community is supporting our local businesses in Wichita Falls. It keeps money in the community and helps it thrive.”

If you missed out on this market, the Wichita Falls Farmers Market is open on Saturdays. The market will host a Pepper Garden-themed event on March 29th, 2025, with garden vendors and a kids club where they can make their own seed starter.
