Unusually Warm Weather in Texas is Followed by Strong Cold Front

WICHITA FALLS — Strong south winds and low humidity combine to bring 80-degree temperatures to start the week.

If Wichita Falls reaches 89 degrees on Tuesday, it will be the warmest day in 2025 thus far.

A cold front sweeps into Texoma early Wednesday morning, bringing a significantly cooler day with a chilly north wind.

Wednesday’s highs will be near 60. Winds will turn southerly again at the end of the week, allowing temperatures to return to the 70s.

Even though disturbances are moving through Texoma, which would normally give us a chance of rain, the lack of gulf moisture in north Texas makes us skeptical about rain over the next week.
