Crime of the Week Burglary at Carney's Corner

Police are looking for help from the public after a burglary took place at a local shop in Wichita Falls earlier this month. Crime Stoppers is asking anyone with information to come forward, and you could earn a cash reward if your tip leads to an arrest.

Burglary Happened Early Morning on March 1

In the early hours of Saturday, March 1, at 2:17 a.m., police officers were sent to Carney’s Corner, located at 4646 Jacksboro Highway, after a burglary alarm went off. When officers got there, they found the glass door on the south side of the building had been broken using a large rock.

Suspect Took Items Worth Around $500

After the store owners arrived, they told the police that about $500 worth of nicotine vapes and pouches had been stolen. The suspect had managed to break in just minutes before police were called.

Suspect Caught on Surveillance Camera

The store had security cameras running, and the footage showed the suspect entering the store at 2:08 a.m. The person was wearing a dark hoodie, blue jeans, green gloves, and white tennis shoes. So far, the police have not been able to identify the suspect.
