Everything Is Bigger In Texas: Big El Paso Fair Returns

Everything Is Bigger In Texas Big El Paso Fair Returns

Spring has officially arrived in El Paso, and if the windy weather wasn’t enough of a sign, here’s your next big clue—the Big El Paso Fair is back in town! This exciting yearly event is something many families look forward to, and for good reason.

Whether you’re there for the thrilling rides, the tempting fair food, or just to soak in the fun atmosphere, the fair has something for everyone. From March 28 to April 13, 2025, Ascarate Park will turn into a colourful playground of joy, laughter, and entertainment.

A Personal Favourite for El Paso Families

For many locals, including myself, this fair is filled with memories. It’s something my son and I have done together for years. These days, though, he prefers to go with his friends while I play the role of his “Uber driver.” Honestly, as long as he’s enjoying it, I’m happy. That’s what spring in El Paso is all about—spending time doing things you love.

What’s New This Year?

This year, the Big El Paso Fair is bringing the excitement to a whole new level with brand-new rides. From bigger drops and faster spins to heart-pounding thrills, it’s going to be an unforgettable ride (literally). But don’t worry—if high-speed roller coasters aren’t your thing, there will still be plenty of classic carnival fun for the whole family.

Mouthwatering Fair Food Awaits

Let’s be honest—the food is half the reason people go to the fair. This year, get ready to ruin your diet or forget you even had one. Expect all the favourites: juicy turkey legs, funnel cakes, deep-fried everything, and some new wild food combos that will have you coming back for more.

If your stomach’s growling already, you’re not alone!

Important Info Before You Go: New Bag Policy

Before heading to the fairgrounds, make sure you check out the new bag policy. Security will be strict, and if your bag doesn’t follow the rules, you’ll have to walk back to your car to leave it there.

Allowed Bags:

– Small non-clear bags (4.5” x 6.5”)
– Clear bags (up to 12” x 6” x 12”)

Not Allowed:

– Backpacks

So plan smart and pack light!

Tickets and Ride Passes: What You Need

You can enjoy the fair with just a general admission pass if you don’t plan to go on rides. But if the thrill rides are calling your name, you’ll need to get both the entrance ticket and a Super Saver wristband. The wristband gives you unlimited access to all the rides—perfect for kids and adventure-lovers.
