A Special 94th Birthday Celebration
Korie Robertson, wife of Duck Dynasty star Willie Robertson, shared a heartfelt post about how her family came together to honour her grandmother’s 94th birthday on April 4th. It wasn’t a big, fancy party. In fact, it was more of a last-minute gathering after a few changes in plan.
She explained on social media, “Okay, plan C … how about 4:00 whoever can come meet up at her house to visit and sing Happy Birthday.” Despite the simple setup, it turned out to be just perfect.
The house was filled with multiple generations—from Korie’s great aunt and uncle to her great nieces and nephews. Everyone came just to be with “Mamaw,” as Korie lovingly calls her grandmother. Each family member got a warm hug and a pulled-out chair from the birthday girl herself.
Korie shared that they spent the afternoon catching up, sharing stories, and most importantly, reflecting on how thankful they are to have each other. It was a much-needed moment of happiness during a tough time for the family.
Health Challenges in the Duck Dynasty Family
The Robertson family has been going through a rough patch health-wise. Willie’s father, Phil Robertson, is dealing with multiple serious conditions including Alzheimer’s disease, a blood disorder, and fractured vertebrae in his back.
According to Phil’s son Jase, the situation is not looking good. The family and doctors are focusing on keeping him comfortable.
At the same time, Willie’s mother, Miss Kay Robertson, recently had a serious accident. She suffered a bad fall that led to a deep leg cut and a resulting infection. Thankfully, she is now recovering, although still in the hospital, and is undergoing rehab.
Some Joyful News Amid the Struggles
Even with all the challenges, the family has had some joyful moments to balance the sorrow. Jase and Missy Robertson recently celebrated the engagement of their son Cole, which brought smiles and excitement to the family.
Also, Willie and Korie’s daughter Sadie Robertson had a special announcement last month—she’s expecting her third child with her husband Christian Huff. This news brought a lot of joy and hope to the family during a difficult period.
A Duck Dynasty Reboot in the Works
There’s even more excitement ahead. The original cast of Duck Dynasty is currently planning a reboot of the show. But this time, it’s going to be different.
The reboot is expected to be in the style of a mockumentary or cringe comedy, much like the popular series The Office. Fans can look forward to a fresh, humorous take on the Robertsons’ lives, with a bit of playful self-awareness thrown in.
