Breaking Taylor Swift Lawsuit Leaks All Involved Celebrity

Just weeks after Taylor Swift and boyfriend Travis Kelce took a break from the spotlight following Super Bowl 59, the pop star is now going viral again — but this time for a completely different reason.

Taylor Swift has been named in a new copyright infringement lawsuit, and many other famous names have also been mentioned, making this case one of the most talked-about topics online right now.

What Is the Lawsuit About?

A Florida artist named Kimberly Marasco has filed a lawsuit against Taylor Swift, claiming that Swift copied her creative work in multiple songs and music videos without giving any credit.

This is Marasco’s second legal battle with Swift. She first sued Swift and her company in 2024. While Swift herself was dropped from that case, her production company is still involved.

Now, in February 2025, Marasco has filed a new lawsuit, and this time, more people are named.

Who Is Being Sued?

The lawsuit officially includes:

  • Taylor Swift
  • Jack Antonoff (music producer and co-writer)
  • Aaron Dessner (musician and songwriter)
  • Universal Music Group
  • Republic Records

Which Albums and Songs Are Mentioned?

Marasco says songs from several of Taylor Swift’s albums copy her work, including:

  • Lover
  • Folklore
  • Midnights
  • The Tortured Poets Department

Some specific songs named are “Illicit Affairs,” “Hoax,” “Down Bad,” and “The Man.”

Other Celebrities Mentioned in the Case

While they are not being sued, several other celebrities are mentioned in the lawsuit:

Beyoncé

Her song “If I Were a Boy” was compared to Marasco’s poem “Ordinary Citizen” by defense lawyers. Marasco says this comparison doesn’t match her poem’s meaning.

Chaka Khan

Her song “A Woman in a Man’s World” was mentioned during a comparison, but Marasco says the lyrics are different from her own.

Elon Musk

Marasco mentioned her poem “Elon=MC2,” saying Taylor’s lyric in “Mastermind” is very similar in how it describes a person as an equation.

Brad Paisley

Defense lawyers compared one of Marasco’s poems to Paisley’s song “Perfect Storm.” Again, she disagrees with the comparison.

Elton John

His famous song “Candle in the Wind” was compared to one of Marasco’s poems, but she says the content is not alike.

Lady Gaga

In an exhibit attached to the lawsuit, Marasco claims that Lady Gaga’s pose in a photo looks exactly like an illustration from one of Marasco’s book covers.

Kim Kardashian

Though not mentioned in the lawsuit itself, an exhibit refers to Swift’s song “thanK you aIMee”, which fans think is about Kim K. Marasco disagrees, saying the song is too vague to be about one specific person.

What Marasco Says

“As a direct result of the Defendants’ wrongful conduct, the Plaintiff has been irreparably harmed,” Marasco wrote in her legal complaint. “These damages will continue unless action is taken.”

What’s Happening Now?

So far, all defendants except Taylor Swift have been officially served with the lawsuit. Judge Aileen Cannon has ordered that all parties must wait to respond until Swift has also been served.

This means the next step in the legal process will take place once all involved people are legally notified.
