For example, Koutouzis claims she bought a package of pork tenderloins labeled as 2.83 pounds, but at checkout, the self-checkout screen charged her for 3.96 pounds—significantly increasing the total price.

She also says this has happened multiple times with deli meats, cheeses, and other weighed items.

2. Keeping Expired Sale Signs on Display

Another accusation in the lawsuit states that Publix regularly leaves expired sale signs up, misleading customers into thinking certain products are still discounted when they actually pay full price at checkout.

3. Incorrect Pricing on Baby Formula

Koutouzis also claims that Publix misrepresents the price per ounce of baby formula—meaning the price displayed on the shelf is often lower than the actual price charged at checkout.
