The Skin of the Victim Came Off 10-Year-Old 'Dragged' Into the Kitchen by Her Stepdad, Burned Her Hand on Stove for Pushing Her Brother, Police Say

In a shocking case from Florida, a 42-year-old man named Georgy Almony was arrested after allegedly burning his 10-year-old stepdaughter’s hand on a hot stove.

The burn was so severe that police said her skin showed the pattern of the stove coil. This happened on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at their home in Biscayne Gardens, Florida.

What Happened at Home?

According to reports, the girl was at home with her stepfather Almony and her brother. Her mother, 36-year-old Milliene Adeclat, was at work at the time. The incident started when the girl pushed her younger brother during an argument.

Angry with the child, Almony allegedly grabbed her by the arm and dragged her into the kitchen. There, he pressed her hand onto the hot stove as punishment. The girl screamed in pain and ran to her room, using Almony’s phone to call her mother and tell her what had happened.

Mother Did Not Report the Abuse

Shockingly, even after hearing what Almony did to her daughter, Adeclat did not call the police or seek medical help. Authorities say she chose to stay quiet about the incident.

The abuse only came to light when the child went to school the following Monday. A teacher noticed the burn on her hand and immediately informed authorities.

Police Investigation and Arrests

After the school raised the alarm, police got involved. They interviewed both Almony and Adeclat. According to police, Almony refused to speak, while Adeclat denied the accusations.

Both were arrested and taken to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office for questioning. Almony was charged with aggravated child abuse that caused serious harm. Adeclat was charged with child neglect and also aggravated battery on a police officer after she allegedly punched and pushed officers trying to arrest her.

Release and Upcoming Court Date

Almony was released after posting a bond of $7,500, and Adeclat was released on a $1,500 bond. Both are expected to appear in court again on May 14, 2025.

Seriousness of the Situation

This case has raised concerns about child safety at home, especially when parents or guardians are the ones causing harm. It also shows the importance of schools and teachers in spotting abuse and helping children in need.

Child abuse is a crime that can have long-lasting effects on a child’s health, emotions, and future. Authorities stress that anyone who suspects abuse should report it immediately to protect the child and stop the abuser.
