Pop sensation Kelly Clarkson is officially back in the music spotlight! The American Idol winner and talk show host just teased a brand-new single on social media—and her fans are beyond excited.
On Friday, April 18, Clarkson took to Instagram to share what appears to be the cover art for her upcoming track titled “Where Have You Been”, simply captioning the post with the word “Soon…”.
That one-word teaser was more than enough to spark a frenzy among her loyal followers, who flooded the comments with excitement and love for her return to music.

It didn’t take long for fans to jump in with enthusiastic replies. Some of the standout comments include:
“Whereeee have you beeen all my lifeeeee! So excited for the new single!”

What’s Going On With Her Talk Show?
While music seems to be back on her front burner, many fans have noticed Clarkson’s recent absence from her daytime talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show. It’s been a topic of speculation, especially with her not addressing these breaks directly.
Sources say that Kelly is considering stepping back from daytime television to spend more time with her children—daughter River Rose (10) and son Remy (8)—whom she co-parents with her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.
An insider shared:
“Kelly’s No. 1 priority is her children, and they always will be. The show is grueling. It’s a whole lot of work and I hear that Kelly would like to spend more time down South.”
A Busy Summer Ahead: Vegas Residency Returns
Even with all this happening, Clarkson isn’t slowing down. She recently announced the return of her Las Vegas residency. She’ll be performing at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace from July 4 to August 16, 2025.
Her last album, titled “chemistry”, was released in 2023, so this new single could be the start of a new musical chapter.
