Hundreds of Police Departments Across Pennsylvania Will Target Aggressive Drivers

Local and state police in Pennsylvania will target aggressive drivers, with the promise that anyone pulled over will be ticketed.

The aggressive driving enforcement wave will include Pennsylvania State Police and approximately 300 local departments from across the Commonwealth. The enforcement will run from March 17 to April 27.

Law enforcement will target drivers who not only speed, but also tailgate, weave, pass improperly, and run red lights and stop signs. They will also target distracted drivers and those who speed in work zones.

According to police, the goal of the enforcement is to reduce the number of aggressive driving crashes, injuries, and fatalities.

The enforcement is part of Pennsylvania’s Highway Safety Program, which receives federal funding from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
