“I Hope You Die”: According to Police, Woman Stabbed Her Mother and Daughter to “Get Even” With Them for “Ruining” Her Life

I Hope You Die According to Police, Woman Stabbed Her Mother and Daughter to Get Even With Them for Ruining Her Life

Spokane Valley, Washington – A 43-year-old woman is in police custody after allegedly stabbing her daughter and mother during a violent attack inside a family home, telling them she was trying to “get even” for “ruining her life.”

The accused, Teri Suiter, made her first court appearance on Tuesday, a day after she was arrested by Spokane Valley Police. According to authorities, officers had to use a stun gun to subdue her after she refused to drop a knife and threatened to harm herself.

What Happened?

The attack happened on Monday, when Suiter allegedly entered her daughter’s bedroom, where the daughter was with her child — Suiter’s grandchild. Without warning, Suiter allegedly stabbed her adult daughter in what police described as an unprovoked assault.

As the daughter tried to protect her child, she was stabbed again, suffering wounds to her chest and back, according to an affidavit of facts reviewed by local news outlets KXLY and KREM.

Suiter then reportedly left the room, and the daughter heard her grandmother screaming elsewhere in the house. When she rushed to help, she found that Suiter had also attacked her own mother, allegedly pushing her down the stairs and stabbing her multiple times.

During the attack, Suiter reportedly told her mother, “I hope you die,” and, “I’m going to get even with you for ruining my life,” according to the victim’s statements in the affidavit.

Police Intervention

When officers arrived, Suiter was allegedly still holding the knife and refusing to cooperate. Deputies used a Taser to safely arrest her and take her into custody.

Both victims were rushed to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Police confirmed that the attack was not provoked by any incident.

Family Speaks Out in Court

At Suiter’s court hearing, a spokesperson for the victims read a chilling statement, expressing fear for their safety:

“This is not a sane woman. She has always told me that she wants me dead. This is not her first time being violent. If she could do this to her own mother and daughter, she could do it to anyone.”

The victims also said that Suiter had been living with them at the time of the attack, which made the incident even more terrifying.

Legal Action and Charges

Suiter has been charged with two counts of assault, and her bail has been set at $500,000. Her next court appearance is scheduled for May 6, as the case continues through the judicial process.
