A tragic incident occurred late Saturday night in the Lake Arrowhead area when a vehicle fire ended with one person losing their life. Firefighters from Lake Arrowhead and Bluegrove Volunteer Fire Departments responded quickly to the scene, but sadly, they found a victim inside the burned vehicle.
What Happened on Saturday Night?
The fire broke out at the 5100 block of FM 2606 around 11:15 p.m. on April 26, 2025.
When firefighters arrived, they found a vehicle completely on fire. They worked hard to put the flames out. However, after the fire was extinguished, they found a body in the driver’s seat of the vehicle.
Officials have not yet released the name of the person who died, as they are likely waiting to notify the family first.
Fire Department’s Message to the Community
In a statement, Paul Barham, the Chief of the Lake Arrowhead Volunteer Fire Department, shared his condolences:
“Our hearts go out to the family and loved ones affected by this tragic incident. We extend our deepest sympathies to all those impacted during this difficult time.”
The local community has also expressed shock and sadness over the news.
Who Is Investigating the Incident?
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has taken over the investigation to find out what caused the fire and to confirm the identity of the victim.
As of now, no additional information has been released, but updates are expected as the investigation continues.
