Electra, Texas, was hit by straight-line winds early this morning, April 29, causing significant damage to power lines, utility poles, trees, and roofs. According to the Wichita County Sheriff’s Office, the severe winds left a trail of destruction, but fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Damage Report
At around 4:00 a.m., deputies, Electra police, and fire crews were called to an area north of Electra along Highway 240, where several utility poles had been broken and power lines were downed. The strong winds also caused damage to trees and roofs in the area, affecting both residential and utility infrastructure.
Response and Recovery Efforts
Emergency repair crews quickly responded to the scene, working to clear the area and restore power. Thankfully, there were no reported injuries despite the significant damage caused by the high winds.
