Legendary country music singer Alan Jackson is preparing to perform what may be his final live concert ever. His Last Call: One More for the Road tour is coming to an end in May 2025, giving fans one last chance to hear their favourite Alan Jackson songs live. This tour covers the highlights of his 40-year-long music career.
Is This Alan Jackson’s Farewell Tour?
While Alan Jackson didn’t officially call it a “farewell tour,” all signs point to it being his last. In May 2024, Jackson announced new tour dates for late 2024 and early 2025. According to the statement, this tour is a final chance for fans to see him live, performing the songs that have been a part of their lives for decades.

Why Is Alan Jackson Retiring?

He shared in 2021 that this was one of the reasons he was stepping back from live performances. Apart from health, he also wants to spend more time with his family. Jackson is now a grandfather and enjoys his time at home.
In his words: “I’m enjoying spending more time at home… but my fans always show up to have a good time, and I’m going to give them the best show I can for this Last Call.”
Will Alan Jackson Ever Perform Again?
Though Milwaukee is currently the last date, there’s a chance Jackson may add a final, grand performance in Nashville — the heart of country music. So far, there’s been no announcement, but fans are hopeful.
Is Alan Jackson Dying?
No, Alan Jackson is not dying. His condition, Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, does not affect life expectancy. Many of his family members have lived with it, including his father and grandmother. The disease has no cure yet, but it can be managed.
Can Fans Expect New Music?
Yes, possibly. In a 2023 podcast with his daughter Mattie, Jackson said he still writes songs and works on melodies. He hinted that even if he won’t tour, he might still release new music in the future.
