The Central Texas region is expanding fast. With new people moving in and new businesses setting up shop, the area is quickly becoming a hub of activity. One of the biggest names in global business, Amazon, is now making a move in Belton, Texas, and it’s creating a lot of excitement.
Amazon is already a familiar name across Texas. From massive warehouses to local delivery trucks, the company has a strong presence in the state. And now, Belton is the next city to join Amazon’s growing network.
How Big Is Amazon in Texas?
Amazon is one of the largest employers and logistics companies in the country—and Texas is a big part of that growth. The company already has multiple fulfillment centers and delivery stations across the Lone Star State. You’ve probably seen Amazon trucks delivering packages in your neighborhood almost every day.
But what helps Amazon deliver so quickly? Delivery stations. These are local facilities where packages are sorted and then sent out for final delivery to customers’ doorsteps. That’s why Amazon keeps building more of them in key locations like Belton.
Amazon’s New Facility in Belton
Amazon has announced a massive new delivery station in Belton, Texas, and it’s set to make a real impact.
According to FOX 44 News, the station will be 127,000 square feet in size. That’s a huge facility, and it will allow Amazon to serve customers faster not only in Belton but also in the nearby areas of Central Texas.
What Amazon Says About the New Station
Jessica Breaux, Senior Manager of Economic Development at Amazon, shared her excitement:
“This delivery station will allow us to provide faster delivery and great service to customers in Belton and the surrounding area… We’re grateful for our partnership with the City of Belton and the Belton Economic Development Corporation and look forward to sharing more details about this facility in the future.”
Local Leaders Welcome Amazon
Belton’s Mayor, David K. Leigh, also expressed how happy the city is about the new Amazon project:
“Amazon’s investment brings local jobs, elevates our tax base, and improves delivery for our community. We look forward to a strong partnership with Amazon as they grow their presence here.”
This new facility will not only improve delivery speed but also create new jobs, boost local tax revenue, and strengthen Belton’s economy.
