Anthony Ryan Patterson, 48, the former president of Patterson Auto Group, has been transferred to a Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) prison after being convicted of child trafficking and sex crimes. Patterson, a Wichita Falls resident, was found guilty on November 19, 2024, and sentenced to 33 years in prison the following day.
After spending time in Tarrant County and Wichita County jails, Patterson is now incarcerated at the Middleton Unit in Abilene, Texas.
Patterson’s Conviction & Sentencing
A Tarrant County jury convicted Patterson on multiple charges, including:
- One count of trafficking of a person
- Three counts of indecency with a child
- One count of sexual performance by a child
On November 20, 2024, the jury sentenced him to an effective 33-year prison term.
Jail Transfers & Current Incarceration
Following his sentencing, Patterson was taken into custody by the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office and held at the Green Bay Jail facility in Fort Worth for over two months.
- January 28, 2025 – Patterson was transferred to the Wichita County Jail while his prison paperwork was being processed.
- February 28, 2025 – He was officially transferred to the Middleton Unit in Abilene, TX, where he is currently serving his sentence.

Patterson could be considered for parole after serving 11 years of his sentence.
