Millena Brandão, a young actress and model from Brazil who gained popularity from the Netflix series Sintonia, has sadly passed away at the age of 11. Her death has left fans and loved ones heartbroken, as the exact cause remains unknown.
Sudden Illness and Symptoms
Millena first began feeling unwell on April 24. According to her mother, Thays Brandão, she complained of a severe headache, pain in her legs, sleepiness, and loss of appetite. Although she was still able to walk and talk, her condition clearly showed something was not right.
Her parents took her to a doctor, who suspected dengue fever — a common mosquito-borne illness in Brazil. However, the doctor did not perform any tests. Instead, he advised the family to go home and treat her with dipyrone, a painkiller.
Health Worsened, But Help Was Delayed
Over the next few days, Millena’s condition worsened. She could no longer work or function normally, and the pain became unbearable. Her family took her back to the hospital, but unfortunately, they were sent home again without proper testing or care.
The turning point came when Millena collapsed in the bathroom. Her mother recalled that the young girl suddenly held her head and screamed in pain before fainting.
Hospitalisation and Heartbreaking Outcome
After being rushed back to the hospital, Millena’s condition took a critical turn. She suffered cardiac arrest and had to be resuscitated and intubated. From that moment, she never regained consciousness.
Doctors later performed a CT scan and discovered a 5-centimeter mass in her brain. Her condition quickly deteriorated. According to her mother, Millena experienced multiple cardiac and respiratory arrests — up to 13 in total, including seven in a single day.
Despite the medical team’s best efforts, which included chest compressions and defibrillator shocks, Millena’s health could not be restored. Doctors eventually declared her brain dead.
