What Happened in West Park
On Wednesday, May 14, around 1:30 p.m., Cleveland Police received a call about a shooting on Munn Road in the West Park area. When officers reached the location, they found a man who had been shot and died on the spot. The man was later identified as Thomas Overall, a resident of the neighbourhood.
Witnesses say he had been mowing his lawn when the incident happened. Just minutes later, police found the suspected shooter dead in a car on Hogsback Lane, not far from the scene. He was a longtime member of the Cleveland Hiking Club (CHC), having joined in 2013. Over the years, he walked nearly 6,000 miles with the group.
