'Commented on Her Weight' Florida Woman 'Shoved' a Handful of 'Cheesy Nachos' Down Her Wife's Pants Before Brutally Battering Her in a Late-Night Attack, Police Say

A Florida woman was arrested for allegedly attacking her wife during a violent confrontation that began when she shoved “cheesy nachos” down her pants, law enforcement reports.

Allyson Swan, 39, was charged with battery causing bodily harm, according to St. Lucie County court records.

Details of the Incident

The violent episode took place on March 3, at the couple’s home in Port St. Lucie, a coastal city located about 50 miles north of West Palm Beach. Police responded after a third-party 911 caller reported hearing a physical altercation between Swan and her wife.

When officers arrived, Swan reportedly told them that everything was “fine” and that her wife was “drunk,” according to the police report. Swan also denied any physical confrontation, claiming that her wife’s actions, including damaging the walls, led to Swan barricading herself in their bedroom.

Victim’s Account of the Attack

However, Swan’s wife told a very different story. According to the victim’s account, she was preparing nachos in the kitchen while Swan was playing video games in the living room.

Swan allegedly made a comment about her wife’s weight and told her she shouldn’t be eating late at night. This led to an argument, after which Swan allegedly grabbed a handful of nachos and shoved them down the back of her wife’s pants.

Following this, the wife went to change clothes and attempted to call a friend, but Swan allegedly followed her. The victim stated that Swan then pushed her against the wall, dragged her to the bedroom by her hair, and pinned her face down on the floor.

The assault continued as Swan allegedly slammed her wife’s head into the floor multiple times and shoved her fingers into her mouth.

At one point, the victim said Swan also threw water on her.

Evidence and Injury

Police found stained clothing and yellow smears of a substance on the wall, which matched the description of the nacho cheese. A small hole in the wall was also noted, aligning with the victim’s account. The victim was found to have a hematoma on her forehead and scratches on her right arm, consistent with the details provided in her statement.

Swan’s Version of Events

When questioned again, Swan maintained her innocence, offering a different version of events. She claimed that her wife was upset with her for not wanting to watch TV together and threw the nachos, which somehow led to her wife covering herself in nacho cheese.

Swan further stated that she barricaded herself in the bedroom while her wife became violent, punching the walls.

Swan was unable to explain how the victim’s injuries occurred, and she also could not provide a reasonable explanation for how nacho cheese ended up inside the pants.

Arrest and Legal Proceedings

Swan was arrested on the night of the incident. She posted bond on May 7 and is scheduled to appear in court for her arraignment on June 2.
