Craig Morgan Makes Fun of His Friend Blake Shelton by Saying, “He Doesn’t Work Hard Anymore” [Exclusive]

Craig Morgan is celebrating the release of his new EP, American Soundtrack, and he recently stopped by Taste of Country Nights for a chat with host Evan Paul. While the conversation started with music, it quickly turned into a hilarious roast session aimed at his tourmate, Blake Shelton.

Morgan, who is currently on tour with Shelton, didn’t hold back when asked who would win in a bare-knuckle fight between the two country stars.

When asked who would come out on top in a fight, Craig Morgan didn’t hesitate to claim victory.

“Oh, no question, I’m gonna win,” Morgan said with extreme confidence. “If he [Shelton] got 3 minutes in, I’d be surprised.”

And he didn’t stop there.

“He’s soft, man. He’s soft,” Morgan added, doubling down on his playful jab. “He don’t work hard anymore. He used to work hard, now he just kinda rides the wagon, ya know?”

Morgan even poked fun at Shelton’s hands, dismissing the idea that working on his Oklahoma farm has made them tough.

“Good creams and lotions,” he joked, suggesting that Shelton’s hands are more moisturized than calloused.

Blake Shelton and Craig Morgan’s Friendly Rivalry

This isn’t the first time Craig Morgan has taken playful shots at Shelton.

Back in 2022, Morgan had a lot to say about Shelton when shown his song artwork during another Taste of Country interview. Their lighthearted exchanges are all in good fun and are a regular part of country music camaraderie.

Shelton himself is known for taking shots at his friends, particularly Luke Bryan, with whom he has a long-running playful feud.

Craig Morgan is currently touring with Blake Shelton as part of Shelton’s 2025 Friends & Heroes Tour, which runs through the end of March.
