Driver Wounded in Rollover Accident Near Wichita Falls

A one-vehicle rollover occurred just after 10 a.m. on Monday, April 14, involving a GMC Acadia on US 82 in Archer County. Deputies from the Archer County Sheriff’s Office and officers from the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) responded to the scene.

According to DPS spokesperson Sgt. Juan Gutierrez, the GMC Acadia was heading eastbound on US 82 when the driver failed to maintain a single lane. The vehicle veered off the roadway and struck a highway sign before vaulting over Williams Road and rolling end over end.

The driver suffered incapacitating injuries and was transported to United Regional for medical treatment. Further details about the driver’s condition were not immediately available.
