Eighth Suspect Charged in Wichita Falls Homicide Investigation

Eighth Suspect Charged in Wichita Falls Homicide Investigation

The investigation into a May 2024 homicide in Wichita Falls has led to another arrest. Authorities have now charged an eighth suspect as they continue to unravel details connected to the killing of Trevanian Mitchell.

On April 10, 2025, police charged William Edward “Binky” Hunter, 45, with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Hunter was already being held in the Wichita County Jail for a parole violation and has been without bond since February 6, 2025.

Ongoing Investigation Ties Eight Suspects Together

Hunter’s charge marks the latest development in a wide-reaching investigation by the Wichita Falls Police Department. Although several individuals have been arrested in connection with the case, no murder charges in Wichita County have been filed as of now.

Here’s a breakdown of the others charged so far:

  • Brittany Johnson — Arrested March 27, charged with aggravated perjury
  • Zelma Barry — Arrested March 29, charged with aggravated perjury
  • Latarrah Roberts — Arrested March 31, charged with aggravated perjury
  • Elmondo Gildon — Arrested April 9, charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, and separately charged with murder in an unrelated Dallas County case
  • Patricia Vasquez — Arrested April 10, charged with organized retail theft
  • Jessica Jones — Arrested April 12, charged with organized retail theft
  • Maricia Blair — Arrested April 14, charged with unlawful possession of a firearm

All these arrests stem from information uncovered during the homicide investigation.

How Hunter Was Connected

According to the arrest affidavit, police executed a search warrant at a house owned by Elmondo Gildon on the 100 block of North Oriole Street.

During the search, officers discovered the home was surrounded by Blink surveillance cameras. They seized a Blink Sync Module 2 with a storage device plugged into it, obtaining a warrant to review its contents.

Investigators uncovered over 4,000 video recordings from May 2024 alone. In the footage, Hunter — also known by the nicknames “BK” and “Binky” — was captured on video holding a firearm inside Gildon’s home.

Police said they believed the gun was real based on its size, appearance, and extended magazine features. The affidavit further mentioned that Hunter and Gildon seemed to be on “high alert,” possibly fearing retaliation for recent events.

Adding to the severity, authorities noted that Hunter is a documented gang member associated with the Kemp Edition Posse.

Since Hunter is a convicted felon on parole until 2029, it is a third-degree felony in Texas for him to knowingly possess a firearm.

While the investigation continues, authorities have not yet filed murder charges related to the death of Trevanian Mitchell in Wichita County. However, the number of arrests tied to this case shows just how far-reaching the investigation has become.

As always, anyone charged is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
