Father Pleads Guilty in Case of Child Endangerment

Joseph Alaniz, one of the parents accused of endangering their child, has taken a guilty plea. The case revolves around an incident that happened in March 2024, when Alaniz and the other parent were involved in a situation that put their child at serious risk.

The Incident

In May 2024, Alaniz was arrested after evidence surfaced showing that he was one of the parents who left United Regional Hospital when their child tested positive for methamphetamines in their system. This led to charges of child endangerment being filed against both parents.

The Legal Outcome

Alaniz faced two counts of child endangerment, and according to court records, he decided to plead guilty to the charges. As a result, he was sentenced to 2 years in jail for his actions.
