In February 2025, two individuals were arrested in connection with disturbing charges, one of whom was a teacher at Wells ISD. Now, that teacher, Hillary Danielle Williams, 34, has been re-arrested on a new charge.
Williams, who was previously arrested on charges related to child pornography and bestiality, is now facing an additional charge of indecency with a child. This new charge comes after a child made an outcry on April 28, 2025, saying that Williams had inappropriately touched her in the months prior.
Williams has been taken to Angelina County Jail, where her bond has been set at $200,000.
How Police Found Evidence of Bestiality
Williams’ boyfriend, Michael Scott McCary, 38, was also arrested on charges related to child pornography. McCary, in an attempt to get back at Williams after an argument, showed law enforcement pornographic images involving a child and a dog. He provided the police with the evidence voluntarily.
Williams’ Role as a Teacher at Wells ISD
At the time of her arrest, Williams was a math teacher at Wells ISD, teaching both junior high and high school students. She had only been working at the district for a little over a year before the charges surfaced.
Williams’ initial bond was set at $350,000. Following the new charges, she now faces an additional bond for the indecency with a child charge. McCary’s bond is set at $250,000 for his charges related to child pornography.
Upcoming Court Appearance
Both Williams and McCary are scheduled for their first court appearance on July 22, 2025.
