Fort Worth, Texas – In a truly shocking and heartbreaking case, a 23-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly killing his own mother. The incident has disturbed many, especially after the suspect claimed he was performing an “exorcism.”
This deeply troubling story began when police received a tip from someone who saw a disturbing photo sent through Snapchat.
Snapchat Tip Leads to Horrifying Discovery
Early on a Friday morning, police were called to a home in Fort Worth, Texas, after someone contacted them about a Snapchat image. The photo showed a woman lying on the floor, covered in blood. Concerned friends immediately alerted authorities and some even went to the suspect’s home.
When police arrived, Alexander Taylor Valdez, 23, opened the door. He was reportedly covered in blood from head to toe and holding a Bible. He calmly told officers, “It was an exorcism,” before sitting down outside the house.
What Police Found Inside
When police entered the home, they found a horrifying scene. Inside a bedroom was the body of 58-year-old Teresita Sayson, Valdez’s mother. She had suffered severe injuries to her upper body. A dog was also found dead near her.
One particularly disturbing piece of evidence was a broken jewelry box—covered in blood and hair that officers believe belonged to Sayson.
The Suspect’s Statements to Police
During questioning, Valdez reportedly admitted to killing his mother. He told police he had been “doing witchcraft” and said he believed it was to “kill his mom.” Authorities confirmed he admitted there was a body inside the house.
This confession has raised serious concerns about Valdez’s mental state and the possible role of mental illness or delusion in the crime.
Snapchat Becomes Part of the Investigation
The crime came to light because of Snapchat photos that Valdez allegedly sent to a group of friends. The disturbing images reportedly showed his mother’s body. These messages led to the police being contacted and added important evidence to the case.
Some of the friends who received the photos even went to the house, but the police were already involved by then.
Current Status of the Case
Alexander Taylor Valdez is currently being held at the Tarrant County Jail. His bond has been set at $750,000. The case remains under investigation, and more details are expected as police gather further evidence and assess the suspect’s condition.
