Wichita Falls, Texas saw a large police presence on Thursday afternoon as local and state law enforcement responded to a situation near 30th Street and Old Jacksboro Highway. Officers from multiple agencies were seen in the area, arriving around 12:30 PM, with some remaining for several hours.
What Happened on 30th Street?
Authorities were responding to information about a wanted man, later identified as Britton Ancell, who was believed to be hiding under a house in the area.
Multiple police units, including special agents from the Texas Department of Public Safety’s Criminal Investigations Division, were involved in the search.
Agencies Involved in the Operation
According to the latest updates, four different law enforcement agencies responded to the situation. Their goal was to safely locate and apprehend Ancell, but after a thorough search, it was confirmed that he was not at the location.
By 5:50 PM, several police units were seen leaving the area.
