SNAP benefit payment dates in New York State vary depending on where you live. The schedule is different for residents of the five boroughs of New York City (NYC) versus those living outside NYC (often called “Upstate New York”). This split is based on demographic and administrative reasons.
The program is managed by the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA), which loads benefits onto Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards. The last digit of your case number determines the exact date your payment will be deposited.
June 2025 SNAP Payment Dates Outside NYC
For those living outside NYC, payments are made during the first nine days of the month. Each last digit of the case number is assigned a specific date:
- Case ends in 0 or 1: June 1
- Case ends in 2: June 2
- Case ends in 3: June 3
- Case ends in 4: June 4
- Case ends in 5: June 5
- Case ends in 6: June 6
- Case ends in 7: June 7
- Case ends in 8: June 8
- Case ends in 9: June 9
If a scheduled payment day falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or holiday, OTDA deposits the benefit on the previous business day. For example, if June 1 is a Sunday, recipients with case numbers ending in 0 or 1 will receive their payment on the preceding Friday.
June 2025 SNAP Payment Schedule for NYC Residents
New York City’s SNAP payment schedule is spread over 13 days in the first two weeks of the month, excluding Sundays and holidays.
The specific payment days for each last digit of the case number change monthly. For example, in June 2025:
- Case ends in 0: Payments on June 2 and June 16
- Case ends in 1: Payments on June 3 and June 17
Other digits (2 through 9) receive payments on other business days during those two weeks.
Because the schedule varies monthly, NYC recipients should always check the official OTDA calendar for exact dates.
