The video begins with a woman sitting at a desk, carefully wiping down what appears to be an old mirror or piece of art. A close-up of her necklace, which bears the Greek alphabet letter Sigma. Cut to a person in a tool shop wearing a hazmat suit with the letter “M” embossed on the back.
The clip’s soundtrack is a clock ticking, and there’s a clock motif visually as well: a close-up of a stopwatch appears near the end.
Fans dug deep into the details, and many believed that the video’s clues revealed more than just a potential album release; they believe Church is also burying hints about the timing.
“Okay, not to be psychotic, but I think it’s March 18th at 12:30,” one Instagram user wrote. “Sigma is the eighteenth letter. M., March? 12:30 drop? If I’m right, I’ll beat Eric Church.”
Another fan noticed that the clocks in the video were set to different times and concentrated on the word “Porter” in one of the shots.
“I didn’t have time for a rabbit hole today, honestly. But now I’m looking for M Porter, a basketball player who has nothing to do with this,” they wrote. “So why is one clock 4:40 and the other 12:30? Kinda mean, but go off, Chief. “All I have is March 18th.”
Will Eric Church Release a New Album in 2025?
Church has not announced a new album in 2025. There are a few reasons why fans believe he might. For starters, he performed an unreleased song titled “Johnny” at the 2025 Country Radio Seminar last month.
At the end of last year, Taste of Country predicted that The Chief would release a new album in 2025. We made that prediction based primarily on his usual music release patterns.
