Fort Worth, Texas – A tragic and shocking case unfolded early Friday morning when police responded to an anonymous tip and found a 23-year-old man, Alexander Taylor Valdez, covered in blood, carrying a Bible, and admitting to killing his mother during what he called an “exorcism.”
The Grim Discovery
Authorities were called to a home around 1:30 a.m. after someone reported receiving a disturbing Snapchat photo showing a woman covered in blood. When officers arrived, they found Valdez walking outside the house and sitting calmly on the front porch.
He reportedly told officers,
“I was doing witchcraft to kill my mom,”
and admitted that she was dead inside.
Inside the home, police found 58-year-old Teresita Sayson dead in the master bedroom. Investigators said she had suffered severe trauma to her face and upper body. They also discovered a dead dog inside the room.
According to an arrest affidavit, a bloodied jewelry box found nearby appeared to have been used as a weapon. The box was covered in blood and hair matching that of the victim.
