In a Devastating House Fire, Iowa Park Family Loses Their Dogs and Belongings

Imagine losing everything you own in just a matter of minutes. That’s the heartbreaking reality for Kiley Mullinax, his wife, and their son after a devastating house fire in Iowa Park, Texas left them with nothing but the clothes on their backs.

Fire Destroys Home, Leaving Family With Nothing

  • When: Last week
  • Cause: Suspected electrical fire
  • Loss: The family home and all belongings
  • Tragic Loss: Two family dogs did not survive

Mullinax, a former firefighter in South Carolina, has seen many fires in his career, but nothing could prepare him for the moment he found out his own home was burning.

“I was in a fire department back in South Carolina for 15 years and was involved in a lot of this. But when you find out it’s your own, it’s a life-changing experience.” – Kiley Mullinax

A Son’s Terrifying Escape

The Mullinax’s son was home alone, asleep with their dogs when he woke up to the smell of smoke and flames. He managed to escape through a window, but tragically, two of the family’s dogs did not make it out.

Community Support & Faith Carrying the Family Forward

Despite losing everything, Mullinax remains hopeful, crediting God and the community’s kindness for helping them through this tragedy.

“It’s been something to see how God really works. He’s blessed us. I know God’s got something better in store.”
