A Colorado man was killed in an early-morning accident in Archer County.
According to the Department of Public Safety, Stephen Carl Hart, 66, of Eaton, Colorado, was driving south on U.S. 281 near Weinzapbel Loop when his pickup left the road, crashed through a fence, and ended up in a small creek.
According to the DPS, Hart was transported to United Regional Hospital in Wichita Falls, where he was pronounced dead due to injuries.
The DPS reported that Hart was driving a trailer and that it was raining at the time of the accident at around 6:20 a.m.
