According to Newsweek, the sinkhole is actually located in Upton County. At the time of writing, the sinkhole is a staggering 200 feet wide and 40 feet deep. Who Knows About The Sinkhole In Texas?
According to Newsweek, the sinkhole has been reported to the Texas Railroad Commission. However, at the time of writing, the RCC responded to Newsweek’s request for comment as follows:
“This issue has been reported to the RRC and referred to our Site Remediation. Commission staff are monitoring conditions in and around the sinkhole and considering options for addressing any groundwater quality concerns.”
It will be difficult to determine how to precisely resolve the issue at hand. As of this writing, no solution has been proposed.
