Leonardo DiCaprio is back in the headlines — not for a new movie, but because of his 26-year-old girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti, who recently opened up about the downsides of dating a Hollywood superstar.
The Italian supermodel shared her thoughts during a candid interview with Vogue France for its April 2025 issue, offering a rare glimpse into her otherwise private relationship with the 50-year-old “Titanic” actor.

Although Ceretti didn’t mention DiCaprio by name, she referred to dating a “very, very famous actor” and described how difficult it can be to maintain her own identity in the public eye.
“As soon as you’re in a relationship with someone who has a larger following than you, you become ‘girlfriend of’ — and that can be extremely annoying,” Ceretti said.
She added that people often refer to her in connection with her boyfriend’s past relationships, which can feel unfair and limiting.
“It’s not nice to think you can’t love who you want because of the labels people stick on you.”
Fans Warn Ceretti May Be Replaced
After her comments were shared online, especially on Buzzfeed’s Instagram, fans quickly began speculating about the future of the couple’s relationship — some even joking that she’s now “too old” for DiCaprio.
One commenter wrote, “She’s about to be replaced,” while another said, “26? She’s about to age out of being his girlfriend.”
These reactions come from DiCaprio’s well-known dating pattern — he has a history of dating women under 25 and ending relationships when they hit that age.
DiCaprio’s Dating History
Before dating Ceretti, DiCaprio’s past girlfriends included:
- Camila Morrone, whom he dated for over 4 years until shortly after she turned 25.
- Bar Refaeli, Toni Garrn, Kelly Rohrbach, and Erin Heatherton, all models who dated him in their early 20s.
- His longest relationship was with Gisele Bündchen, which ended in 2005 when she wanted personal growth and he reportedly didn’t.
He was also rumoured to have dated Rihanna in 2016.
Despite this, DiCaprio has never openly discussed the specifics of his dating life. In 2013, he told Extra:
“Your private life becomes public when you choose this career — but that’s a conscious choice.”
Ceretti Keeps Her Cool Despite Public Pressure
Ceretti, however, seems to be handling the pressure well. She told Vogue that while dating someone so famous is challenging, “If the love is real, there’s no reason to be alarmed.”
She added, “Love protects and gives confidence.”
The couple has been spotted together several times, including on vacations to St. Barts in December 2024 and yacht trips around Sardinia, showing that their bond has grown over time.
Ceretti has even met DiCaprio’s mother, saying in her interview that she looked through his childhood photos with her.
