A shocking incident in Thailand ended with a man accidentally blowing himself up after his ex-girlfriend rejected his attempt to reconcile.

What Happened?

Surapong Thongnak went to his ex-girlfriend’s house on Sunday morning, hoping to get back together. When she refused, he tried to attack her with scissors but was stopped by her family members.

Thongnak then went to his car, took out a hand grenade, pulled the pin, and threw it. When the grenade did not explode, he tried to pick it up and throw it again. Unfortunately, it exploded in his hand, killing him instantly.

Injuries and Police Action

The explosion injured four of Thongnak’s ex-girlfriend’s relatives, according to Thai news outlet Thaiger.

Police searched Thongnak’s car and found no other explosives but discovered 500 grams of crystal meth inside the vehicle.
