McDonald’s fans in the U.S. have a new reason to celebrate! The fast-food giant is bringing back late-night dining hours at most of its restaurant locations across the country. This move is part of McDonald’s effort to better compete with other fast-food chains and cater to customers who crave their favorite meals after dark.
More Restaurants to Stay Open Past Midnight — Some 24/7
A company spokesperson confirmed on Wednesday that the “vast majority” of McDonald’s restaurants will soon stay open past midnight, while many others will offer 24/7 service.
However, non-traditional locations — such as those inside airports, shopping malls, and similar venues — will not be included in the extended hours due to location-specific restrictions.
The expansion comes just in time for the summer season, giving fans more chances to enjoy their favorite meals whenever hunger strikes.
What’s New on the Menu?
To mark the occasion, McDonald’s is also introducing exciting new menu items, including:
- McCrispy Strips
- Creamy Chili Dip
These join fan-favorites like the Quarter Pounder, Chicken McNuggets, and more — all of which will now be available late at night.
“Our fans know there’s no better way to end an unforgettable night than by feasting on your favorite McDonald’s order,” said a McDonald’s spokesperson. “That’s why we’re thrilled to offer expanded hours at more locations.”
Promotions, Free Gifts, and Celeb Concert Tie-ins
As part of its promotional campaign, McDonald’s street teams will be present at major concerts happening this Saturday in New York, Los Angeles, and Detroit. Fans can expect:
- Free merchandise
- Coupons
- Gift cards for McCrispy Strips
Concerts featuring Kendrick Lamar and SZA in Los Angeles, Beyoncé at MetLife Stadium in New York, and The Weeknd in Detroit are part of the celebration.
In addition, 1,000 free virtual gift cards for McCrispy Strips will be given away on Instagram, according to QSR.
Major Hiring Push and Expansion Plans
This announcement follows another major update from McDonald’s. The company recently revealed it plans to hire 375,000 new employees, marking its largest recruitment drive in years.
McDonald’s also shared plans to open 900 new locations by 2027, further boosting its presence and service availability across the U.S.
