WICHITA FALLS — The Wichita Falls Police Department is investigating a deadly motorcycle crash that happened Sunday afternoon at the intersection of Southwest Parkway and Taft Boulevard.
Just before 12:30 p.m. on April 27, 2025, officers responded to reports of a serious accident involving a motorcycle and an SUV.
How the Crash Happened
Police say the motorcyclist was riding eastbound in the center lane of Southwest Parkway. At the same time, an SUV turned westbound onto Southwest Parkway from Lake Park Drive.
The motorcycle crashed into the driver’s side of the SUV during the turn.
One Person Dead, One Hospitalized
The motorcyclist died at the scene from their injuries, according to Wichita Falls police. The driver of the SUV was taken to a nearby hospital. Fortunately, the driver was reported to be alert and talking with emergency responders.
Authorities have not yet released the name of the motorcyclist.
